We work and charge on a hourly basis like all law firms in Hong Kong. We aim however to offer more competitive hourly rates with our experience however – some of us have worked in City of London maritime law firms – we can claim to have a good spread of practical and academic knowledge and are able to apply that to instructions in a more time effective way than other firms with “associate heavy” structures.

We aim to achieve maximum cost recoveries for our clients so that their costs exposure is minimized under the ‘loser pays winner’ costs regime in Hong Kong.

We are happy to agree capped fees on small and large assignments and are pleased to say that since the establishment of JRS, bills are rarely challenged or go unpaid.
