Introduction

The Firm was founded in July 2001 with a view to providing efficient, cost effective and reliable legal advice. Initially offering services to the shipping and insurance markets, the Firm has now expanded to include general commercial litigation, corporate and commercial, employment, and insolvency services. The Firm is staffed by individuals with a combination of international experiences and standards and an extensive ground of knowledge of local legal and business systems. Various languages such as English, Mandarin, Cantonese, German, Russian and French are spoken in the Firm. The Firm has a strong reputation for high quality, proactive and workable solutions.

We are not affiliated with any other Hong Kong or London law firms. We do however have good relationships with numerous law firms overseas. That has enabled us to remain independent and in turn become the recipient of international instructions from lawyers in the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia. In some cases because of our size, we have also been offered instructions due to the high number of conflict situations which can arise – particularly in maritime and employment cases. With time, our reputation has grown and we are now ‘front line recipients’ of a number of high profile instructions.

We occupy the front half of the Centre Point building overlooking the Harbour which is located between Wanchai and Causeway Bay on Hong Kong Island. Our building is occupied, as is the area, by shipping lines, insurance and chartering brokers and P&I clubs. Many of our Hong Kong clients are situated within walking distance of our office.
