Local Law Firms

With the number of international firms in the territory obtaining the right to practice Hong Kong law growing ever larger, the competition for advising on the local elements of large deals continues to rise. That said, a good number of local firms continue to hold their own in their various fields of specialist expertise and, with their often lower cost base, offer competitively priced advice. There are also a handful of firms that, while still considered "local", have long outgrown Hong Kong's borders and compete on many levels with international players, providing competent advice on a wide range of issues throughout Asia.

Other local firms that are well regarded for providing shipping and maritime advice include Crump & Co . and Jonathan Rostron Solicitors, the latter particularly in relation to litigation and arbitration matters.
