Since the firm was founded, we have handled
5 major collisions in North and South Asia acting for well
known Singapore, Taiwanese, Italian and Hong Kong owners.
Recent instructions include:-
- Representing Guangzhou salvors in connection
with a gas carrier engine room fire at Yantian, China in
November 2002.
- A collision between a Singapore flagged
container vessel and a Belize registered dredger in Hong
Kong waters in March 2002.
- Attendance on behalf of an interested party
at a Board of Investigation in September 2002 convened by
the Marine Department of Hong Kong pursuant to local legislation
to examine the conduct of a pilot following a collision
with loss of life in Hong Kong waters.
- Damage to a pontoon at Qingdao, China in
November 2002 due to alleged contact by a Taiwanese vessel.
- A collision off Southern Japan in November
2002 between a Taiwanese and a Chinese vessel.
- A collision off Pataya, Thailand in December
2002 between a Singaporean container vessel and a Japanese
vessel.
- Acting for the Taiwanese cargo underwriting
market in connection with the total loss of ship and cargo
between Kaohsiung and Hong Kong in September 2001.
